"U Sněženky" cottage is located in the picturesque Chrastický Brook valley on the eastern slopes of the Kralický Sni3ník massif at a mean height of 674 m. above sea level.

Jeseníky - Suggestions for trips

Skiing

There are several ski-resorts within easy reach of the hotel. These include: Ramzová - Šerák, Velké Vrbno, Stoíbrnice, Kuneice, Petoíkov, and Branná. Or, not 500 metres from the hotel, in Hyneice pod Su1inou village, there are two ski-slopes with artificial snow. The smaller slope, which has a ski-lift operating into the evening, is excellent for children and beginners.The larger slope has "poma" lift and is exciting for more advanced skiers. There is a free ski-bus which stops just in front of the hotel.

There are several cross-country tracks running near the hotel, including the Kralický Sni3ník-Návr1í-Stoíbrnice-Paprsek route.

Hiking

Hyneice pod Su1inou is well placed for low altitude mountain trekking along the eastern slope of the Kralický Sni3ník ridge, or into the centre of the Su1ina massif, 1321m above sea level, then on to the source of the River Morava and up to the summit of Kralický Sni3ník at 1423m above sea level. A very popular challenge is to walk the valley of the Prudký Potok, a mountain stream which follows one of the most difficult, though romantic routes in these mountains.

Cycling

A network of asphalted paths and metalled tracks follows the contour lines through the meadows and forests. Or, of course, you can take the more demanding rides which climb the mountains or cycle the routes which follow the minor roads. Recommend trips: Paprsek, Kladské Sedlo, Dolní Morava, or following the border trail of deep fortifications built in secret before the war.

Motoring

Some good trips by car include the town of Jeseník and its surroundings, the Javorník area, the spa town of Lipová Lázni, Ramzová village, and the Šerák and Eervenohorské Sedlo mountain valleys. Or you can use the nearby boarder crossing in Dolní Lipka to visit the Polish town of Klodzko. Or you can go for a swim at the thermal springs at Velké Losiny and while you are there, visit the summer mansion with its grand park.
